My Mother's Day Top Ten!

1. Being awaken by Cheering, Laughter and Flowers in my Face!

2. Whitney's company while making Sunday Supper Waffles, Strawberries and Bacon! Delish....Whitney set the table and everyone helped clean up!
(In Jeff's defense, NO he did not cook breakfast, but worked hard for us all night and was snoozing.)

3. Attending church with my hubby and these cute kids who are getting too big....(Hey Wes, look over here!)

4. Picking up Wyatt from primary and receiving a bouquet of "flowers" made out of his hands traced on paper. Each of them had a free chore for me that was promised by him. I asked if he was going to do ALL these things for me and her replied.."No way, I hate chores, I just wrote them down for you" Ha Ha Ha!

5. Listening to Wes sing "YOU ARE SO B-U-T-IFUL" from The Little Rascals, as he ran his fingers through my hair.

6. Unwrapping beautiful hand drawn pictures and notes on seriously half a ream of paper from Wyatt and Whitney. Some of my favorites were of course more SpongeBob (Wyatt forgot to include Gary the meowing snail in his letter to Carter and I was the privileged recipient of the masterpiece), lots of flowers and hearts, dogs and a few stick figure vampires!

7. Receiving an adorable coupon book from Walker to me that included: one free car wash, one free weed pull, one free dishwasher unload, one free bed make and best of all one free hug! (I love the last the most, I have to steal hugs from him lately)

8. Driving to the Hospital 6 minutes after Jeff left for work to retrieve 2 stowaways that snuck and hid in the back seat of his truck under blankets. Very sneaky of you Mr. 9 year old and Miss 7 year old!

9. Getting my hair curled and styled by Whitney, of course, as we watched a little T.V. She mentioned that my hair has NEVER looked so good...and it probably hasn't since the last time she played beauty parlor.

10. Family prayer with the youngest two really trying to be reverent, but failing horribly because they are part monkey! AND....Telling bed time stories about the hilarious poodle I grew up with. She was a great dog, but thought she was a giant poodle or at least half bear!

I have great kids. I am blessed to be their Mother....And even more blessed to have Mine. Love to them all on this Mother's Day!

Voice Mail

I finally did it......I finally hacked into my cell phone settings and created a security code so I can check my voice mail. I have only had my phone for....a year or maybe two????......(Saunja, I got your heartfelt message from last Thursday about Dane and Wyatt....Hilarious.....so, so, sorry I never called you back!)

I know I have previously gotten voicemails from other friends and family, unfortunatly I was too stupid to be able to listen to them. Now I can honestly say, if I don't call you back or get your message, my phone is dead, under the couch cushion, buried in my black hole of a purse, or just flat out lost, and not just because I didn't know the code to let me in!

And thanks to one of my friends who tipped me off...enter 9 four times, and SHABAM... follow the directions for 10 minutes to your own personal code heaven! I don't remember who you are, I will just forever be grateful that I can NOW access my mail.

Leave me a brief, but detailed message after the BEEP!

Hmmmmm.....

My guess was that the camera was thieved and used to take these beauties, last Sunday before we left for church. Thanks Little Miss Perpetrator for the evidence of your bare leg in the last picture! (As if we needed the evidence)

Go Cubs!

Tonight was Game 2 of Walker's baseball season. His team is the CUB'S and he has a marvelous coach. In tonight's game 10 of their 12 points were scored in the 6th inning. It was a great game and they won by 8 points. I thoroughly enjoy watching him play.

I did have a conversation with Walker about my need to buy him some sunflower seeds, so he could share with the rest of his team, as they have shared with him. He had a huge chewed up wad in his mouth, shells and all! Scenes from the movie, The Sandlot have flashed through my head tonight. SMALLS in particular! Luckily we do not have a baseball with Babe Ruth's signature. Sunflower seeds are on my shopping list, and on Jeff's list....lesson on the proper way to shell & spit seeds.

Dearest Whitney,

Thanks for the cute little letter that was found to Dad & I in the mailbox this morning. We can totally take a trip to the "puplikc" library after Walker finishes his piano. How about tomorrow? I am so happy that you are "filling" better. You have been a sick little puppy this winter. Now that it is spring I hope that you will do nothing but skip home from the bus stop with that famous smile of yours. No more sickness for you!:)

And about last night.... Thanks for the special treat you tried (just like Nacho) to shove under my bedroom aka "my quarter" door. I love TOAST! Too bad the little plate wouldn't fit, you however got the toast through nicely. Only a little mutilated. I felt just like beautiful Sister Encarnacion, minus her lovely black flowing hair (mine was greasy and slicked back into a pony tail) and cute little white nighty...(I was still dressed and it wasn't cute.)

You are a great girl. I love you!

P.S. Your penmanship looks amazing!

Love your Mom, JaNae

Walker came off of the school bus unable to control his laughter---he was absolutely hysterical.

Someone pulled a Napoleon Dynamite. Tied a muscly action figure to a long piece of floss and tossed it out the open bus window. SWEET!

I wish I would have been there. Listening to him laugh seriously made my day.
