Beef it is what's for dinner!

Mom, what's for dinner?

TACOS! Doesn't that sound great? (Are you getting wet from the drippy sarcasm? I LOVE meal times because feeding 4 children is the BEST!)

Ohhh. What kind of meat is that? Is that meat kinda like Beef Jerky?

YEP!

You are feeding me COW BUTTS! Walker said beef jerky is kinda like steak and steak is really Cow Butts!

I'll give you 1(ONE) guess at which child I had this conversation with. yep...Wyatt

I prefer this conversation over one a few weeks ago, when he accused me of feeding him DOG! I really need to get out of the habit of making Labrador Lasagna. It is really grossing my kids out.

While the Johnson 4 were supposed to be quickly getting ready for church this morning, Wyatt in his self inflicted "misery" outlet-ed his suffering by making a "No Womens Allowed" sign for his room. (As if it would keep ME out, offend me, or save him from his church attendance.)

By the time we left, his smile had returned, our love was amended, and he decided that HE wanted ME to again enter his domain. (Probably because he pretty much NEVER, EVER cleans his room without his angel mother's assistance.)

Funny, Funny child.

FAST FOWARD 3 1/2 hours....
Burst through the door after church.
The FOUR change into their Sunday afternoon Uniforms aka PJ's.
Grab a quick snack.
Sucked into the Paper/Marker Vortex that was left on the table from Wyatt's SIGN.

And Sha-BAM...

"I AM BATMAN!"

I suspect from the grosgrain ribbon and carefully crafted eye and BREATH holes the oldest 2 were involved.

SOLE PATCH and WISE MAN (Not pictured...the roll of scotch tape behind the facial hair.)

Cookies for Breakfast

Yeah....pretty much the best breakfast know to mankind. I am smitten over this recipe my evil genius of a sister just came up with. She is the master I tell ya! It is de-lish with a capital "D"! PLUS...All the basic food groups are covered with this baby...especially if you count the Chocolate Chips (and lots of them) as fruit and vegetables. They are SO plant derived (duh.)

Thought I'd share....
And wish me luck, I am destined to eat rabbit food the rest of the day!

Jill's Devilish Cookies
1/2 C. peanut butter
1/2 C. butter
1 C. brown sugar
3/4 C. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp soda

I am slipping further and further behind on my little blog. It is creating stress....that heaven knows I have my fill of. I need a new resolve to stay updated, either that or obtain a cattle prod and use it on my backside. I need to get caught up, and here is a poor start!

Lately, my kids are kicking my trash if I do say so myself. They drive my crazy one second, (but when it comes to Church it is all 3 hours) and then I am scooping them up to laugh my head off at the funny things that they do. I am thankful to be a mother. Their mother. I hope someday they will think I am a good one, just as I know that MINE is amazing. I am also thankful for the Caffeine laden Diet Soda and Chocolate that gets me by. Here are a few tidbits from today.....

Wes has discovered a new Magic Trick or so he says! Getting his own glass of water, filling it to the brim, taking a gigantic swig and then regurgitating it back into the glass. Repeat! (Ewww.) Thirsty anymore, I am not.

I just put a makeshift bandaid on Wyatt's poor finger. Wyatts finger has a 2mm scratch, it is the sabbath and we are out of bandaids. What is a girl to do with such a tragedy? I know that Bandaids always make everything better so I improvised. I created "THE Ghetto Bandaid." (Cotton Ball and Scotch tape, complete genius, I know.) It soothed his pain, just like one made by Johnson & Johnson. He liked the name as do I!

Tonight we will enjoy a batch of cupcakes made entirely by Chef Whit. She has been so excited to make something all by herself. She did put extra oil into the mix. "I am pretty much a grown up" were her exact words, followed by "it was ONLY an extra cup." We'll see how they turn out. We may gain 10lbs by eating just one, but it may be a great solution to using up the plethora of oil in our food storage.

Walker impressed me in Primary this morning with his knowledge of the Brother of Jared story in Ether. As of late we have been diligent in reading the BoM as a family, and it makes me happy. I want my kids to learn from and love that book. It gives me great peace.
Walker mentioned to Jeff in a 'Hi how is is going?' call from work, that he was impressed at my anger management "skills." Wes dropped and shattered a glass jar filled with Pirate treasure on the kitchen floor. "Yeah Dad, she didn't even yell!" For the record, I am NOT enrolled in an Anger Management Class. I DON'T NEED A ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASS, DANG IT!!!!!!

Pass me my Diet DP. I need it to help me wash down this delicious bite of Symphony Bar.
