Our Happy Whitney Girl

one huge hair ball, 2x2inch bald spot, one sad girl praying
that it will grow back very fast!
that it will grow back very fast!
I cringe looking at these pictures! I know treadmills are dangerous, but ours wasn't even plugged in. Whitney and the boys were playing puppy crawling on all fours and making the treadmill belt move very slowly. Before they knew it Whitney was stuck and screaming as her hair was wrapped around the front rod that holds the belt. It took Jeff and I about 5 minutes to untangle her as she cried; please don't cut my hair, please don't cut my hair. As we unraveled it one lovely piece that had already been yanked out at the roots fell into my hands. I tried to hide it from her, but when she saw it she went ballistic---I'm going to be so ugly! Jeff & I couldn't believe what we were seeing. Part of us was laughing because of the the whole situation and the things that she was saying, and the other part was crying with her because we cannot imagine a lock that enormous being ripped out our scalp. I ran for the camera and had to reassure her that she was so luck, the huge bald spot is one that we can hide with her hair down, and even with pony tails (Thank goodness.) We unfortunately will not be styling her hair only half up for quite a while! She told me to not tell anyone, and that it will be our little secret. (So much for putting it on our blog.) She does want to call Grandma and tell her the hideous story--always comfort with Grandma.
