Can I just say that when Krispy Kremes are placed the the freezer for safe keeping and a brought out as a special treat after the kids go to bed---they are almost as good as the day they were purchased. I am addicted, yes I have a problem. Please someone let me know (ok, mirror, mirror on the wall) when it gets this bad....

Oh, and Happy October (almost) Everyone!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad's 60th birthday! I truly feel blessed to have him as my Dad! I hope to become more like someday. Growing up with him was always an adventure as he always made things fun with his positive attitude and zest for life! My children are spoiled by him and worship the ground he walks on! He is the ultimate great advice giver, mouse hunt guide, story teller, tractor ride chauffeur, and hiking companion and the one you call for an all around good time! How lucky we are to live close, and to be close. We love him so much! Happy Birthday Dad! (And sorry to post how old/young you are! You look great and we bet you are enjoying discount tickets at the movies and all-you-can-eat buffets. We heard lunch with the office was wonderful at the Senior Citizen Center! Sorry the bus ride didn't work out!)

UFO's

Last night's conversation....

Jeff---telling a suspenseful bedtime story to our 4 children all snuggled on one bed.

Me, while folding laundry---"Jeff that sounds like a great story......are you telling them about UFO's?"

Jeff---"yes...but nothing scary I "promise"!"

Walker---"Mom, he is polluting the minds of his poor helpless children! He really thinks that UFO's are real! He is freaking me out!"

later during Wyatts 10th time out of bed with another excuse....
Wyatt---"Mom, I sure hope a UFO doesn't come to our house tonight! I think I'm scared"

Me---Wyatt I promise they won't. We are safe in our house! Please go to bed!

I think Jeff might want to tell a story about the Boogie Man or Vampire Bats tonight, it might make our children feel safer!

FHE

For family night last night we watched a little of this...

Then we rode a little of this...

Then we listened to a lot of this...

Walker is loving being 9 and playing flag football, Jeff is enjoying his mid-life crisis riding this little ebay treasure, and Whitney has been crowned queen of amazing FHE lessons. We learned a lot about our forever family! I am thankful for mine!

Self Portrait

We had a great Primary Activity this morning on Missionary Work. This is Wyatt's self portrait. His picture has it's eyes crossed just like him! He has been working on the eye cross trick for a few weeks. I think he has it down! Nothing like a Cross-eyed Missionary!

10 things I wish I could have said this morning

1. Thank you for tip-toeing down the hall instead of running like wild animals while your dad who worked all night is sleeping.

2. Wes your diaper smells like roses!

3. Whitney you practiced your violin like an angel. With an attitude like a song bird in the morning and without being asked.

4. Wyatt that booger is right where it belongs. Smooshed up in a kleenex and in the garbage! Good job!

5. The bus comes in 5 minutes and look you are all ready!

6. On my goodness! The breakfast dishes are loaded and the kitchen is immaculate including the feast for the rat den on the floor.

7. Thanks for breakfast in bed along with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.

OK....scratch #7 and settle for....

7. I am showered and clean as a whistle and I didn't have one child tattling on another during the whole process.

8. Wyatt you don't need me to wipe your bum anymore? Wow, your arms have grown 6inches.

9. Walker, I am so happy that you are such a peacemaker. You always help your siblings without being asked.

10. Jeff, of course I will go out on a date with you tonight. You arranged the babysitter and everything. What? We are flying to mexico for a 7 day cruise?

Hello My Name Is Wes!

My mom thinks I am the best!

What she doesn't know, is that Dad is enlisting my help with her shopping addictions. He wants me to do whatever I can to get her to leave the premises of a shopping establishment ASAP...

So...everytime and I mean everytime I follow her to TJ MAXX
I CRAP my CHAPS!

(This has happened now 3 times in a row. Super fun and stinky!)
